Your numbers now come with context

Until this week, your project dashboard could tell you that you had 412 views. It could not tell you whether 412 was good.

That is the gap we have spent the last stretch closing. The analytics on every project page have been rebuilt around one idea: a number on its own is trivia. A number you can act on needs something to compare it against. See the shape, not just the total

The dashboard now opens with your views over time: 7, 30, or 90 days. Instead of three totals sitting in boxes. Launch spikes, the slow bleed after a feature post, the Tuesday that outperformed everything: all of it is visible at a glance.

How you compare

Three of your rates — views to upvotes, views to feedback, and bounce—are now shown against the median for projects in your category. Each is a bar with a marker on it. The bar is you. The marker is the median. The distance between them is the entire point.

Alongside it sits your standing: what percentile your project occupies by 30-day views. Not a leaderboard, and not a score. Just an answer to "Is this normal?"

We only show these once a category has at least ten launched projects to draw from. Below that, a median is noise dressed up as insight, so we say nothing instead.

Where people come from and who they are

• Traffic sources: direct, search, social, and your top referring domains
• Geography: which countries your visitors browse from
• New vs. returning: whether your audience is arriving once or coming back
• Best day to post: your views by weekday, with your strongest day called out
• Who upvoted: the makers who backed your project, so you can actually follow up
